Poor lil penguins :(

She was filming her FX show in my store and right next door, I'm a huge fan of hers and really want to get into voice acting. She popped into my job and said "hey I hope we didn't mess up business too bad" I'm shocked, trying to think of something cool to say..

My buddy and coworker responds "hey you really fucked up his money" and I start shaking my head all frantically.

She called me a sweetheart and him an asshole and I'll never let him forget it.
THe girl that voice Luanne died.

Dude..... the fuck
My choice of words or the penguins who comfort each other? Sharing a sense of mutual loss in a world of unknown creatures rapidly spreading across their habitat and destroying their lives? Or if they're taken aback by the beauty of the mysterious civilization that spells their doom.

Either is acceptable btw.

When you think about it, they're sorta flip sides of the same coin.
I don't think I could eat a penguin, I got sent to the principal and school counselor for saying I'd rather eat my classmates than my dog when we were reading Lord of the Flies...

Yeah, she was in some good indie films as well. Brittany Murphy, really starting to come into her own as an actress. Sad shit.

I was trying to be nice to Larry earlier and not insult his intelligence, but HOOOLLLYYY FUCK his responses about healthcare make it really fucking hard.

Me neither.

Did the counselor dispute your ethics or just point out that some things are better left unsaid?

I kind of wish I had gone to school for zoology instead of culinary school.

Check this video out.

@Zookeeper Gabe I have a question, we see in instances where insects show signs of intelligence, like the ants and termites forming guard lines to protect their workers, or how bees will cook a wasp alive. Do they actually ponder these things? Do they operate purely on some mechanical instinct?

What do insects think about in their free time?

As far as we know insects operate solely on instinct and their ability to discern situations on instinct. But who knows, could be smarter then expected.

Watch the three part South America special from Meateater. Steve Rinella eats a monkey the locals hunted and he even is on record "I tried dog in Vietnam" but said there was something about watching the cooking process that freaked him out. He ate some still to not offend his guides and shit but said he'd never do it again.

That trump was in favor of Obama care and removing the mandate was a positive because it kept insurance prices down
And that somehow voting to repeal the aca moved Republicans to the center. Or something like that. He was rather unintelligible

Me neither.

That counselor knew me really really well. Basically another rant about how I shouldn't just say every thing that pops up in my head.

Also I googled sad penguin for a gif and really bummed myself out. I had no idea penguins commit suicide.

Animal intelligence is one of the more fascinating things to me along with animal empathy especially when it comes to interspecies cooperation like this friendly crow helping a lil buddy.

But with insects, so like a praying mantis is just chilling right? Tummy all full, kicking it. It doesn't do anything outside of the necessary means for survival?

Like that praying mantis has to learn right? And doesn't learning imply some form of intelligence?

Just super sad. I don't need that!

Aw I don't think it's sad. Those two penguins are comforting each other every night, they're there for each other. Sometimes the missing piece of someone's puzzle is a mutual appreciation of ones loss.

Every night they're holding each other, if it weren't for each other it would be sad. Not all penguin stories have a happy ending and little Harold and Maude have one.

Bruh I may just be super fucking baked but I got teary looking at that picture again.
