What do you do?

Windows? Maintenance? Window cleaning?

If you're one of those crazy window cleaners on a swing stage, you're braver than most, especially in the "windy city".

I drove past one that was only hanging by one rope before and the 2 dudes got saved by their harnesses, I hope that was their last day at that job and they found another job to go to.

The only crazier non-military job that I can think of are the freehand tower climbers. One slip and it's all over.

Logging is the most dangerous job in America and military isn't even top 25.

@Tycho- Taylor's Version, good piece on inflation by Noah Smith:

https://noahpinion.substack.com/p/why-do-people-hate-inflation

I don't totally buy his argument (and I think he misses the basic dynamic of people attributing benefits of inflation to themselves and costs to outside forces). One commenter linked this, which undermines his case somewhat. But the basic point about "nominal wage rigidity" probably has something to it. It's funny because in one past discussion I had with a certain right-wing libertarian-turned-overt racist, I pointed out that an implication of his belief that wages would have risen as much as they have over the past 100 years without inflation (and thus, for example, that one year of a schoolteacher's salary could fully pay for a mansion in Los Angeles and a Bentley) was that supply and demand had no connection to wages. He called that a "strawman," but if Smith is right, maybe he should have stood by it. It would obviously not be true in the long run, but it likely is to some extent in the short run.

Nice, I voted for this topic in his last Twitter poll.

Will give it a read this aft. Gotta figure out how to integrate the Applebaum comments on using inflation to get out of debt from the last thread too.

EDIT: wow Appelbaum is already in there lol. Are we sure Noah Smith isn't on Sherdog...?

Is Bam a part of it? Something tells me he isn't taking part

Some people can't handle all the fabulousness that is coming next month

They tried to do a deal with Bam similar to Steve-0 when they made Jackass 2, basically that if stayed sober (drug tests) and stuck with his therapy and bipolar meds he could be a part of it. But he relapsed in preproduction I think and went on one of his weird Instagram rants. So no Bam

I totally would be a twitch babe if I were a woman. Get filthy rich.

Not shocked. Dude seemed to give up after Dunn died. Sad, but not too shocking given how he was raised.
