Social WR Lounge 327: [Redacted]

Mainly wanted to drop this in here. Ben Sasse got stage 4 pancreatic cancer. His social media has been positive but rough to see. He did an interview and most of the advice you’d expect for a dying person. Spend more time with family when possible because you don’t truly know how much time you get. He has three kids, no older than college. Hope he pulls through but this is one of the truly fatal types you can get. Hug your partner/ kid(s)/ friends when you can cause we sometimes gravely overestimate our time.

Born and raised in MN. Currently live in Illinois which not gonna lie, kind of sucks but I've got a good job and wife's family is around so that makes up for it

Anyways, MN has had on and off bill attempts for gun regulation since I was a kid and none ever get anywhere. I wouldn't be worried about a bill introduction. It'll most likely end up in the pile with the rest. People need to mostly ignore bill introductions as anyone can introduce one for any stupid reason, and they only begin to have a chance of passing the house and senate if they make it out of committee which none of these are like to. If one does, then it's the time to matter.

St. Paul passed a local ordinance regarding assault weapons, but Minnesota has state laws that prevent local gun bans so it's being thrown out by the courts just taking time like courts do.

I'd carry that if I had one but my wife would probably yell at me if I bought it.

Big range day on st Pats coming up here. Bunch of people are going to get to experience full power 10 mm rounds out of a compact for the first time in they lives and that's always fun. No one but me seems to enjoy that.

I feel bad for his family but he's lucky he's not in prison after all the money he stole as UF's president.
