This isn't a debate on whether or not there is an afterlife.

Would you want there to be an afterlife? The afterlife is the same as the Christian afterlife (as I remember it).

You will live in eternal bliss in Heaven with all your friends and family, except for the bad ones, who will go to Hell. There'll be no reason to be sad or depressed. No problems. Your grandparents, parents, etc... will be there.

or do you want it so that when you die, then there's nothing. You'll be forgotten and cease to exist.

Who in the hell would turn it down. I'm an atheist and don't believe in it, but given the choice? Of course I would want to continue to exist in a paradise after I die.

Of course

I dont believe in christian heaven but i do think there is an afterlife

Yes. Its better than the thought.of.just rotting in the ground.

I sure hope there is one.
If there isn't, it would suck to just vanish into a void.
I can't even comprehend just flat out not existing any more.

You might want to take a seat, I've got some bad news for you...

I'd definitely be up for a bit of an after party, I want to be buried in my most stylish threads just in case.

That'll be me in the middle with the divine pelvic thrusts firing orgasms into the crowd, slaying angels with my hips.

I can't imagine NOT wanting something like that to exist. I sure hope it does.

hell ya, of course. Who wouldnt want there to be one.

I wish dragons and unicorn were real also.

I hope not.

Given eternity, anything will eventually feel like hell.

What if there's constant novelty?

I was talking to a friend about how humans might eventually conquer death and he said he wouldn't want to be around to see it because he'd eventually get bored. I don't think you would if it coincided with a technological singularity, I think it would remain compelling because of the constant evolution. Still, that's hardly the same thing I suppose.

Sure, I would like the answers to all of the universes questions also. :)

Being surrounded by the friends and family I have now isn't my idea of heaven.
