With Nate being on a two fight win streak against Michael Johnson and Conor, and though Pettis has dropped 3 in a row, I couldn't and I'm not a Pettis fan by any means, al though appreciate his style. Nate style is nothing like Barboza, no matter how you slice it the the Alvarez fight was close, and RDA is a beast who did bad things to Nate as well.

Nate is very susceptible to kicks as well, basically a cheat code in a game to beat him along with a strong double leg.. we all know Pettis can kick like a monster but there's no telling how his confidence mental state and drive are at this point, but still. Would you confidently pick Nate diaz at this point in time to beat Anthony Pettis?? I can't say I would, I'd be 60/40 Pettis.

I wouldn't. Not only I still believe in Pettis, I also think he's a big problem to Nate, stylistically wise.

It really sounds like a great fight to me.

Have you seen his last few fights? Pettis looks horrible. I would pick someone like Felder to beat him at this point.

interesting matchup
would like to see this fight:D

No, Pettis is still a better striker than Diaz.

Does a bear shit in the woods? I would pick MJ to beat Pettis.

No freaking doubt.

Nate is new, improved, and motivated.

Pettis is too gunshy and perhaps his boxing has been overrated this whole time.

Great fight, love Nate, I think Pettis could beat him, so no I would not pick either one to win for sure.

Just decided to make this thread because whenever Nate seems to get a few nice wins and then get way overrated, and people seem to forget he handles wrestlers with greater disdain than Pettis ever did. I wonder what Nate vs Alvarez would look?? We already know what Nate vs RDA looked like.

Nah he probably use kicks and movement and win rounds and people would cry

Pettis boxing has never been good and always overrated, but he does have some hands he rocked giblert. It's his kicks that are lethal, it's why Pettis v Nate always interested me.

Better kicker. & Pettis doesn't have the boxing acumen to follow up with his strikes. Diaz will start slow & take over like his fight with Michael Johnson.

Me too but they have too totally different styles. Cerrone kicked the shit out of Alvarez and look what Pettis did to Cerrone. I'd pick Adriano Martins to give Pettis a tough fight personally. Lol

Diaz by too much pressure
The constant forward pressure would be too much for pettis

Pettis usually needs space to work and Nate's pressure/volume style of boxing could provide problems for Pettis. But Pettis's kicks are no joke and a couple of those to the noggin could spell disaster for anyone.

I pick Nate.

Nate would beat the ever loving shit out of him like he did to Cerrone

Great fight . Not confident to pick nate yet. I think petis still pulls it off

Great fight. I'm surprised they haven't fought each other. I got Nate if they fought now.
