In the Sahara at least you have a shot of making it to a populated area.

There's no rescue and no towns in Antarctica.

The OP only said “get lost”. They never specified whether or not there’d be a rescue.

No Rescue, you’re on your own: Sahara.

Get lost, people know you’re missing: Antarctica.

Both scenarios, no gear: It doesn’t matter. Fast or slow, you die.

Sahara bc theres a chance of rescue. I fucking hate the cold. Id be dead in a day or two no matter how much gear i had. Weeks worth of food , appropriate clothing and tent shelter give me the desert. No one is looking for you in Antarctica you might come across someone traveling across in the desert.

I'm gonna die under both scenarios and fuck the heat. Send me to Antarctica, I've always wanted to see it, so it'd be a nice way to go.

lol Survivorman is the best, better than Bear Grylls.

It's probably more realistic, but Bear seems far more personable than Les, who clearly has a chip on his shoulder about Bear and his success.

Cool, Les still comes across as a miserable bastard who is clearly bitter about Bear's greater success and constantly drops snide little digs toward him. I even the like the guy, but let it go.

He never lied, he just didn't tell the whole truth / let the audience believe the myth........like almost every TV show ever, and that has been known for the best part of 20 years.

Les went hunting for Big Foot whilst Bear continues to make fun, entertaining shows whilst raking in coin.

....and if you don't think Bear is in the top 0.01% of people in the survivalist game just because he didn't put himself though unnecessary hardship (fair play to Les for that), you're an idiot.

Bear Grylls. Man vs. "Wild" -- LOL!

Antarctica. Would be a much quicker death. No way 99.9999% of normal people could survive either place and while I'm a lot more outdoorsy than most, I'd be proper fucked in either environment.

Is there driftwood in Antarctica? Might be able to light a fire somewhere.

I highly doubt it. There are no trees in Antarctica, and I’m not sure the ways that ocean currents flow would transport any driftwood all the way for the thousands of the kilometres from places like Chile or Tasmania.

I’m from the desert, so I think I’d stand a slightly better chance in the Sahara. Not that either is a good option, but I’m used to working in 110 degree heat.
