Would you keep paying tens of thousands of dollars on medical bills?

Is that what's going on? I'd go outside the box. Look at the scientific literature yourself to get some idea of what could be going wrong. Getting outside help is something, but understanding the issue on your own is valuable. Seek out some specialists with unorthodox ideas or non-MDs even. Some weirdo functional doctors too, maybe. #notmedicaladvice

I'm kind of confused though. Some posts it seems like panic disorder is the issue, but others it seems like there's really something going on? The vestibular issue seems very medical, not psychological, in any case. If it's just medical anxiety, obviously don't bankrupt yourself over it.

Yeah, it's dizziness, my gait is all messed up, like my head is moving around, anxiety and panic attacks. Watching movies, reading, playing videogames, texting or looking at the phone, scrolling specifically, makes me dizzy. Can't focus, my memory is jacked.

Google search sucks. It's hard to do any research because the results are completely different from what I'm searching for.

Yes. I wouldn’t want my credit rating destroyed. But I would be pretty upset that they didn’t help me.
This is exactly why we need a public option for healthcare.

If you're searching something unorthodox, maybe try another search engine. Google's algorithms actively prevent showing results that differ from mainstream ideas.

I'd probably do an ear specialist, blood pressure, try clearing my diet of caffeine, alcohol and sugar, and if none of that did anything and none of the doctors had any clue, I guess I'd start trying some hippie witch doctors.

I can't watch sad movies, I can't think about my childhood or listen to sad songs because my anxiety ramps up. I can't stop thinking because if I do, I get a panic attack. I can't just sit on the porch and relax, my mind has to constantly be thinking of something or else I get a panic attack.

The Epley maneuver is like a dance move for fixing dizziness. You tilt your head in different directions to shake loose those inner ear crystals causing trouble. Try it, Brother.

You become sick and after 3 years of seeing doctor after doctor, specialist after specialist, spending tens of thousands of dollars out of pocket, would you keep it going by seeing other doctors and specialists?

Let's say you're dizzy all the time, your balance is fucked up, and have anxiety and panic attacks. You can't watch a movie in one sitting, can't play a videogame, can't read, can't look at your phone for too long, etc. because all those make you even more dizzy and give you vertigo if you keep going.

Would you keep spending money to go see doctors in hope that someone can figure it out?
I research my conditions and try to fix myself before ever considering medical attention.

Health insurance in America is a huge scam

Go to Germany and find a real doctor

I don't mind spending the money as long as they figure out what's wrong and fix it.

Have you looked into that surgery that Dana White had?
Supposedly cured his vertigo forever
When did he have that one?

I remember him having one years ago but it didn't fix his issue. This was the injury from getting beat up in the 90s/early2000s where some group of guys kicked him in the head I think... I think he's deaf in one ear or has really limited hearing in that ear.

Ménière's disease, Had surgery like ten years ago for it and think it cured him of it. It's an inner ear issue and it has a lot of the symptoms OP is mentioning.

Have the doctors brought up anything about your ear possible being a culprit to what you're going through @Bornstarch ?

Yeah that rings a bell, it was a while ago I remember seeing him talk about it. Could have been on Rogan's podcast.

I'm there with you. Very similar. I only watch Disney movies, cooking shows, and campy SciFi. Anything else triggers my anxiety. Had a panic attack in the shower today, from nothing. Brain fog and dizziness are the norm as well. I got poked and prodded for years. MRIs, CTs, brain scans, medications, blah blah blah. Crazy amount of money to spend on a lot of "I don't know".

I do know that I did a reeeeeeal shitty fucking job of taking care of my own mental health. I'd drink like 2-3 pots of coffee a day, worry about money all the time, eat a bag of beef jerky for lunch, try to outwork everyone, come home to more work, had a hard time saying no, etc. Now I come home, I read a book, I smoke a cigar, I drink some wine, I make sweet love to my wife, I just fucking relax. No tv, no politics, no deadlines, no arguing with anyone. It's not foolproof, but it helps. Being a man fucking sucks, especially if youre at least somewhat intelligent (Because ignorance is bliss, dumb people sure are blissful), a lot of pressure all the time.

The vertigo has me a bit perplexed, as that's not a typical anxiety thing. Vertigo is usually associated with inner ear or CNS stuff.

Also, therapy works man.

Yeah, I thinks that's where he was talking about it with Joe. Told a story about being with the Fertittas at a Casino in Las Vegas for a meeting and having a terrible episode. Had to be taken outside in a wheelchair and go to the hospital....

Doesn't sound fun at all. I experienced vertigo once and holy fuck does it suck!

Ear crystals? It's a real medical thing. Look it up TS. They literally shake your head to realign them. It's a shot in the dark, but best of luck.

Dr. McGee.... out.
