Are you adventurous when it comes to food from different parts of the world or nothing will replace good burger, steak and fries?

Which cuisine is your favourite outside the country in which you live.

Would you eat maggots, fried spiders, alive octopus like some other countries do?

I wouldnt mind to try stuff like that to be honest, but it have to be cooked well which means all bacteria, viruses, eggs and other crap than can make you sick disappear.

I wouldn't eat raw grub like on the picture, thats for sure :D But I heard it is Aussie's delicacy appraently...hmmm...maybe on second thought, fried on butter with garlic, honey and chillies...

I'm a fairly adventurous eater, but I'm not interested in eating anything that wouldn't be considered "meat" or "organ meat" by normal standards. I have no interest in eating eyeballs or in eating animals that are so low in the order that they don't really have "meat" (like spiders, worms, sea cucumbers, bugs, etc.).

I don't want to eat guts, or the whole animal including their excrement, or anything that bursts into goo.

But I'll try stuff like snake meat or organs or eel or alligator etc.

I'll eat octopus but I have no reason to eat it alive... First because that's dangerous and kills people by catching in their system with the suckers, two because it's cruel to the octopus, and three because the taste and texture wouldn't be as good as cooked octopus for me.

Australian grubs like on the picture are apparently quite delicious. When cooked they taste like (almonds???) and guts have a fried egg consistency...mmm...with garlic, honey and chillies <3

I live in a developed country, so no.

Enjoy, brother.

A worm that tastes like almonds is still a worm full of worm piss and shit...

I couldn't tell you, to be honest. Depends on how I'm feeling.

Damn, what did you do in the last 10 minutes for double yellows Pan?

I cooked some frog legs awhile back and some punk got on here and said how poor I was. Idiot didnt know they cost more than chicken in stores.

Fried spider Yep. Battered tarantula looks tasty. A live grub? No way. Id imagine with the right seasonings and cooked the right way almost anything could taste resonable.

I had fried ants in Thailand once. It wasn't as bad as I thought. The texture was like eating crunchy sesame. The taste was slightly spicy and salty due to the spice they put in there.

Then again, anything deep fried will probably taste good.

I've seen cooked insects in Thailand and it didn't really phase me (Not that I ate any, mind). And I'm a really fussy eater. I won't eat lasagne for example because shit looks like a yeast infection

A live insect would just end in tears. I get Bear Grylls flashbacks

I love trying new/weird meat but I draw the line at genitals or massive insects/spiders etc.

I've eaten small crickets and termites. And queen ants.
