Would you guys be cool with your GF showing her a** off in IG?

Ah, memories. Back in the day, young ladies so desperate for attention were easy pickings for the Goon Dog express. A little attention, a little Marvin Gaye on the car stereo cassette deck, a little walk by the lake ...

These are not marriage material, boys. Fun to play with, for sure, but don't marry one unless you want to spend the next 20 years looking over your shoulder and outside your bedroom window.

Sure.

It's not the act of taking and showing the pictures that would bother.

If she does it, and goes about our daily lives as normal, it's all good. If it turns her into some kind of self-absorbed, entitled thot, then she can be someone else's girlfriend.

There is a saying I absolutely love, which I picked up while living in Scotland, that covers this topic nicely:

'I'm just doing what it says on the tin'

It basically means that behavior is normal for that person and 'on the label' of things that you might expect from them. You should not be surprised or bothered.

With that in mind, I would say if the girl was doing that when I met them, and I chose to date them, I should (and certainly would) be fine with it. If that was atypical for them, and they started doing it while dating, it's certainly reasonable to consider that 'new information' which might lead to a new decision regarding their relationship status.

Overall, I do not find the act itself particularly bothersome. I would be more interested in what was driving it. If it was to feed some vanity or attention seeking pathology, I would probably give that woman a swerve, as that would also manifest with other behaviors I find deeply unattractive. But If it was naked financial motivation, I could definitely see myself enjoying a cocktail that was paid for by the fapping of some basement dweller.

Would give zero fucks.
Women are hardwired to need attention. If it's not on the web, she's doing it in real life.
My GF wears shirts that show her cleavage off all the time. That's not for me. She also wears thongs on the beach to show her big round butt off. That's also not for me.

One man cannot provide the attention an attractive woman in her 20's requires. You're a fool of you believe otherwise, and if you try to suppress that, it's soul crushing to an attractive young woman. It's like telling a guy he's not allowed to watch porn or think about other women. You're basically just turning your partner into a liar.
Right on the money Hatorade. Sexy girls love attention.

Who's the chick in the middle.....for research purposes

What about your former co-worker's GF texting you the little jean shorts she bought? I met them at the same time, out drinking a few years back.

How is this any different than guys posting pictures of their muscles when they've been working out? You do enough squats and get your ass in shape, why wouldn't you want to show it off.

Maybe it's an indicator of anxiety for some people? Perhaps even envy?

I've been thin, fat, fairly muscular, but I've never been happy with my body. I'm not ashamed, just accepted it.

I've never thought about posting pictures on Instagram and to be honest, if I were happy with my body, I wouldn't be the type to show it off.

I wouldn't be comfortable if my partner did, as it's quite a foreign concept to me. I wouldn't mind posting pictures of her being pretty (such as sitting opposite me with a drink and smiling, that type), but ones that blatantly show off curves and skin?

Her choice, but I probably wouldn't be thrilled.

Please tell me there's a John Cusack reference here.

well, if she's the type of woman that needs to put her ass online, she isn't the type of woman i would have any real connection with. fucking? sure. anything else? nah.

Yep. Yet another Sherdog double standard.
I don't think I've posted on IG in a year and it wasn't that sort of related pics anyway, but HEAPS of guys do it on the regular and I see no issue with it whatsoever. I certainly wouldn't be clutching my pearls if my husband started doing it.
I see nothing wrong with showing progress whatsoever and you have to be a pretty insecure twatnozzle if that's your deal.
