Yeah I grew up not eating lamb or duck because they were too sweet but when my mum went full veggie she didn't take offence at all with whatever I ate apart from Eamon cooking live lobster.Yup , quite happily. Mind you I used to have vegetarians refuse to sit alongside me at dinner when they saw how I ordered steak saying it made them feel ill.

My relatives still live there. I remember they ordered steak medium and it's always filet. They think I am touched in the head when I tell them I use a bernzomatic to sear steak. I post pictures on social media and the comments are like it's burnt. I am sure trends change but I don't think it's exclusive to my family.How long did you live in the UK and where?

Personally I am really picky about steak. I like a deep sear and exactly medium rare. I don't like Florentine style steak. It's too rare for me even though they get the outside to my liking. Don't get me wrong. I will eat well done steak but it's usually my fault because I left the meat in the fridge for a little too long.
