I said it is a combination of the criminal case not being prosecuted further, her ridiculous quote about the tapping, and the fact she was seen with him after. All that makes her case suspect. I didn’t even get into how the couple next door did not corroborate her story, and the fact that criminal investigation saw holes in her story. Now keep on being disingenuous for me. It’s adorable. And while she did have a tampon wedged in her, it could have gotten stuck there through getting gangbanged consensually by two dudes. The bleeding could be explained by her being on her period, they weren't able to establish she had been violated for that reason. The primary evidence is the bruising and her own testimony. The standards for a civil trial are significantly less. Criminal trial is beyond a reasonable doubt, civil trial is it most likely happened. If the case had gone to a criminal trial imo it would have failed.

Her testimony of what Conor said to her has raised doubts in my mind. It just sounds fake, like a Khabib stan's bad fan fiction. Of course that means nothing to the people judging this case and there's no way to explain that to a jury. What also raises doubt for me is that she was able to recall exactly how Conor assaulted her and what he said to her but didn't even remember the other guy having sex with her as well. I followed the whole case from start to finish I know the reasons as I have paid attention to it. The gynaecologist said it was one the worst injuries he’d ever seen in all the rape cases he had witnessed over the years. A woman will take out her tampon before sex as it is excruciating otherwise, in this case it was jammed into her cervix.

She took an action against his friend at the same time and failed and lost that case. She was awarded money from McGregor but in a civil case if you lose in Ireland you can be held accountable for costs so technically McGregor’s friend can sue her for the costs which will be more than the amount she received from McGregor. The media isn’t reporting much on this but the Irish state is rumoured to make a change to the rule given the fact McGregor paid for his friends legal costs.

That was a quote from the state prosecutor for the reason why they didn’t prosecute they deemed the witnesses ‘unreliable’ because they were all under the influence. The state won’t take a case here in Ireland unless they think they’ll win.
