Just out of curiosity: would you?
When i grew up (born in 1981) there was not that much info about brain damage in combat sports and i kinda grew up with: the more you get hit the more you can endure. The mentality at basically all fight camps was: learn how to endure pain and deal with discomfort. Being able to take punishment was something you could train by taking punishment during training. It was just the way it worked over here.. but i guess it was the same in the US (at least with wrestling and NFL).
Now... 2018... we know EVERY hit to the head will cause brain damage in some sort of way. We know a knockout can seriously impede you for the rest of your life. We know a beating like JDS took from Cain WILL fuck you up for life. Damaged brain cells cannot be repaired, you will suffer the consequences.
With that in mind, would/do you allow your children to became an MMA fighter?
