Had that fight gone through would it have been competitive or would we have seen the breaking of Tony simply at the hands of Khabib instead of Gaethje? Tony's excuse at the time for losing to Justin was that he had tailored his whole training to prepare for Khabib.

Who knows. MMA is a crazy sport. Belal vs Leon, GSP-Serra I, Holm-Rousey were not supposed to be competitive.

No, if Kevin Lee of all people, with staph, was able to control Tony on the ground, Khabib would have effortlessly crushed him.

Lee was dangerous before his injuries, he gave Barboza a worse beat down than Khabib did.

Are you really arguing that Kevin was more competent on the ground than fucking Khabib? <lol><lol>
Remember the RDA fights?

No and I don’t know why people thought he would be a bad stylistic matchup for Khabib.

It’s easy to say it wouldn’t have been now. But I thought at the time Tony would get ran over. Sucks we didn’t get to see it, definitely one of the biggest fights to never happen.

No, I think Ferguson could have beaten Khabib pre-2016. At that point, Khabib wasn't as refined and was very wild. Khabib still would have been favored.

It would have never been competitive. Tony gets taken down and smashed from half guard.

I don’t know but it would’ve been interesting to see how khabib reacted after an elbow sliced him up

not really, he gave him that beatdown after the khabib beatdown, and he was....
