Would the DNC treat Sanders like the GOP treats Trump if he's the frontrunner?

Do you think the Dems would treat Sanders just like Trump if he was the frontrunner and Hillary was trailing him by a huge margin? Would they spend tens of millions on attack ads, all sorts of dirty shit to get to a brokered convention?

The Dems NEED Sanders' supporters to switch to Hillary after Sanders drops out, so they're playing nice, especially now that Hillary is practically a shoe-in.

Nope (DNC while clearly biased towards Hillary , even engaing in questionable practices with the delegates) isn't spewing the same combative rhetoric that GOP establishment is towards Trump.

Not a chance. Most liberals really do not care which person gets the nomination, just so long as they beat the opposition. Not so with the GOP.

Yes!!!!

In fact it was in large part the liberal media that branded Sanders as a socialist above all else.

Before anyone responds that Sanders is a socialist, this is true(Democratic socialist). It is also true that Obama smoked pot, and Bush was a coke head, and that if the very first thing people thought of was Obama is a pothead, or Bush is a coke head, neither would have been elected.

What words you are associated with, makes a huge difference.

LOL!

I am walking, breathing proof of how absurd this statement is.

Of course I'm not a liberal, I am a economic progressive.

Would they railroad him at the convention? No.

Would they do just about everything to stack the deck against him? Well, they've been doing that. So, yes.

Than make your statement accurate, and say many liberals don't care. The broad brush painting, is a form of lizard brained thinking.
Well you got me. I am a lizardarian.

I will still say most, as it is what I have encountered. If you want to just continue to respond like a jilted schoolgirl, then I must decline in responding to you.

Apparently I have reading comprehension issues.

Somehow I missed the Most liberals qualification.

My mistake, I was wrong.

No, but they wouldn't have to. Sanders policies and political messaging align with mainstream DNC policies and messaging.

The DNC doesn't have the GOP's core problem, which is that the GOP tried to drum up the anger of a voting subgroup without turning actual decision making power over to that subgroup. Bernie's supporters are no different than your average DNC supporter except at the edges of policy.

I guess Sanders did achieve a few victories here than. According to you, his anti-trade as it exists today, and running on campaign finance reform, are now mainstream DNC platforms. Good news, to see centrists like yourself, coming around to the music.

You already have AA politicians acting as if Sanders doesn't/didn't support civil rights, so I'd say that they're acting worse than the GOP.

At least the GOP are mentioning factual positions Trump has or had.

I didn't see Sanders at the march on Washington. I've never met Bernie Sanders. - John Lewis

I remember when the Dem debates were set on nights where it had the least amount of potential viewers. Sanders campaign kept dipping, so the DNC didn't get a chance to ramp up their tactics.

This is the oddest claim I've been seeing here. Sanders isn't really a socialist, but the reason he is "branded" that way is that he applies the label to himself. Derp.

Sanders' net favorability among Democratic voters is about 50%. That's basically Trump's gross among Republicans. Not remotely comparable.

No he doesn't. Sanders in a couple of old interviews embraced the title of socialist, specifically democratic socialist. The media branded him to death with this.

What was more telling, was reading certain articles from places like Huff po, or Politico, or the Hill from certain writers, where they would call him a socialist, and give zero context to this statement. As if all of their readers just understood the difference between socialism, and democratic socialism.
