Would prime Kid Yamamoto be top 5 in current featherweight division?

No.

All older fighters were never good and just fought other guys who weren't good.

Love the guy, but, nah. He's too small
He'd have to drop down to BW

He would most likely be a bantamweight or maybe even flyweight if he was born 10 to 15 years later.

Not sure where he would be ranked but Kid had good wrestling and finishing power.

What an absolute pointless question, of course not

Would Wil E. Coyote catch the roadrunner if it wasn't a cartoon and Acme made reliable products?

The Unified Rules and fast guys circling away from him in a cage would not help Kid one bit.

I think Prime Kid would do ok in a ring, at BW, and under a judging standard where guys can’t beat you by touching you and running away, or surprising you with a TD that leads to 3 seconds on the ground before returning to the feet.

Nope. He was athletic and he belonged where he was at the time. But no, sport has evolved so much. He'd get smoked.

Why the fuck would someone try to snatch a double leg from someone in full motion throwing a flying knee. I understand it's the moment and shit happens, but it's the first move of the fight and you're gonna engage with that flying shit? Fuck that. Evade and reset.

Sea level Cain? LMAO. I've never seen a fan who roots for guys...but only at a specific elevation! HAHA!

This thread should be about Kid Yamamoto in the current bantamweight division for it to be remotely relevant. I'm not trying to come off as a douche, but if people want to bash the old guard at least make it a realistic scenario. Yamamoto would never have fought the monsters at featherweight of today. He had already dropped to bantamweight before he got to the UFC.
