If Conor better utilized his energy against Diaz, would he win a rematch?

Conor going for broke and trying to punch a hole through Diaz' face, and apply pressure didn't work. What makes you think Conor sitting back while Diaz gets his riddum going, before Nate turns up the heat and pushes the pace is going to pan out any better for him?

He might last longer, but you don't win fights with a Diaz brother by sitting back and waiting for them to come to you.

Full Training Camp Diaz would annihilate Efficient Energy Conor

Of course he could. People just forget he beat up Nate for seven minutes and battered hes face. When Conor got tired and got sloppy Nate took over.

Conor with cardio and being more careful for me beats Nate.

conor is fully capable of winning this matchup. another full round of exchanges and diaz could have been stopped on cuts alone.

but, diaz also could have performed a lot better with a full camp.

Maybe if he stuck some d-cells in a dark place the fight would have been different.

Speculation though.

Maybe mystical BJJ blackbelt Conor...or 3 inches taller Conor could have won as well. Also, this wasn't like the 4th and 5th rounds were talking...it was the freaking 2nd round. He is a PRO MMA fighter and he can't manage to not gas in 1.5 rounds? Even going hard? Please.........

Energy efficient Conor would remain as the target for stockton slaps for a longer period of time.

he might win with Condit's gameplan against Nick, doubtful though because of reach

Conor wasnt training properly, when he dumps his bf Ido Portal then he can get back on track. When you get stunned you go back to auto pilot when you are training. Like Nate says he's playing touch butt in the park and goes right into panic mode. It looks like he was hitting pads when he fought Nate. He stayed too calm which is okay if you can take hits.

His training partners are scared to even stun Conor in sparring. In the ultimate fighter when he was training the fighters he teaches them to spar without touching, so he probably doesnt get hit a lot.

Fighting smarter Conor wins. He didnt fight like he normally does. I got Conor in the inevitable rematch.

Yes.
And a Black belt in BJJ.
Some wrestling skills and TDD.
Then he can.

Nate with an actual camp beats any version of Conor easier.

He just rocked and submitted head clean off, cardio or whatever they dont matter

there is no energy efficient conor

his only weapon is his power, if he tried to conserve energy by not throwing hayemakers that would take away his main strength

he cant be a decision fighter, decision fighters have to have solid takedown defence and grappling
