Would a Combined Men’s Bantamweight and Flyweight Division Interest You?

What are some interesting matches if they do actually ever drop flyweight (which they really should) and have the guys move up. Sure Mighty Mouse can be competitive with some elite fighters, but can even top 5 flyweights hang that well with the bantamweights?
 
you mean men's bantamweight? there's no such thing as combing BW and FLW lol. FLWs just move up in weight

That’s what I mean. Doing away with the flyweight division and having everyone move up. That way bantamweight is now a combination of the existing division and the fighters moving up from flyweight.

yeah, that's what I figured. I don't think there should be a men's FLW. not enough talent. plus getting rid of FLW eliminates any leverage DJ may think he has in declining to fight other elite fighters like TJ or Cody who size-wise matchup with DJ
 
Meh I think they need the FLW division. There are a lot of fighters that walk around the weight BW's cut to.

To be fair most of the FLW are a lot smaller then the BW's. I don't think talent is the problem it's just that DJ is a lot better then everyone else. There are a few FLWs that fought very competitively at BW like Benavidez Dodson Lineker... but looking at Dodson and Lineker they are much smaller then whoever they face.
 
flyweight is honestly the most talented weight class. the problem is that ufc matchmaking has been terrible and many top flyweights are in different promotions.
 
Change division name to moth-fly division. What the hell does batamweight mean?
 
Cut Flyweight completely. Don't care if they're 'talented' they're boring to watch.

130lbs may be a good idea.

If they were going to do a division shake up like 190lbs and removing others I'd be for it.

Only because i want to see those midgets get KOd by 135s with power moving down.
 
Surprises me men can get down to 125....

If you eliminated the Flyweight division, I'd be for it if they lowered the Bantamweight limit to 130 lbs, but then you'd probably have to restructure all of the weight classes then (which I'd also be in favor of).
 
I’ve always said if they change the divisions up like 130,140,150,160,170,180,190, 205.. it could be interesting.
With that being said, I’m ok with how it is now.

Flyweight is so shallow that none of the FLW top 10 would beat any BW top ten.

It would basically just be bantamweight.
