Would a 195 Weightclass do well

I genuinely think this weight class needs to be added, middleweights could then move up that are too big for the weight class but too small for LHW, then some LHW will move down. Fighters like Jimi Manuwa, OSP, Latifi etc i could see all moving down. Maybe try the division see how well it does?

If it ever happens it is an injustice if it isn't called Franklinweight

205 is shallow enough already.

Not really just want too see some middleweights like Luke Rockhold fight Manuwa as can't see him moving up to 205, Luke talks shit but at 195 he would move up
He already said he's moving up to 205, useless idea and weight class

Idk. the best LHW who could likely drop down to 195 is Jimi and there aren't many MW's who have enough size to compete with the likes of the Jimi, OSP and Latifi who you mentioned as possible candidates for the division above. maybe rockhold, jacare, weidman and romero would be best suited to but they still would be at a size disadvantage.

I don't think there should be another division in which jimi manuwa is the best fighter by default

they could do with less weight classes. more interesting matchups btwn non-title fights
HW >215
lhw 215
mw 180
ww 165
lw 150

I'd like to see a 195 created and then the 205 division cut, and the 265 lb cap removed.

Then we have a real HW division not split in half with Jones, Rumble, DC, Gus, Stipe, etc.

And then we have a LHW division at 195 with Rockhold, Shogun, Manuwa, and probably Johnny Hendricks.

The correct answer is less weight classes. Not more.

The more belts there are, the more it diminishes their value.

No. The only new division that would not be shallow would be a 165 lbs division. The WW division would have to become the 175 lbs division.

Middleweight is in between having depth and being a barren wasteland. Meanwhile, Light Heavyweight is already a barren wasteland. If you added a 195 lb weight class you'd suck the life out of both divisions to create an equally barren division.

They need to get rid 170.

And add a 165, 185, 195, and an absolute division.

Bring 195 in, get rid of 205. Therefore the 205ers can move down to 195 or move up to HW. Then the middleweights that want to move up can. Don't think its a stupid idea personally.

Belts don't mean anything anymore anyway as well all know it's all about the "Money Fights"
