Worst you ever struggled to survive, financially?

Its pretty bad right now.... i mean what the fuck is going on with working class wages?

Why do management still think 20/hour is a livable wage? It's not the fuckin 90's anymore

And it pisses me off when people say shit like "employees have all the power right now, just ask for a raise" one of my coworkers asked for a raise and guess what? Her last day is on Friday... employees dont have any fucking power right now, theyve made it so were all replaceable
It's livable if you don't have kids or debt.

Worst I ever struggled was when i had no job living at home at my mom expense asking her for money... never felt so pathetic in my life

I was one day from getting my phone cut off before my first full time job, living at home with mum, no savings etc

What do you mean by 'poor' ?

There's different levels. I've never been so poor that I thought I would starve to death.

Being 'poor' depends who you're comparing yourself to. In some places in the world people would work hard labour for a whole day under the glaring sun and earn $1 a day. And they're not the poor people (comparably).

It's all about your mentality, money is just a tool.

Jebus what a falacy.

What I mean by "poorr" is, the everyday struggle, no money in the bank, having to borrow occasionally to pay bills.

Working a horrible and tough job for pennies.

I used to work as a cleaner.

First year I made 500 a month (EU currency).

The work was grueling, the commute times to work were even worse.
The company was run by exploitationists that give employees dog shit and sometimes actually cut their pay check and pocketed the money - it was horrible.

I've moved on from that now but I see people in similar positions and they'll be there for the rest of their lives.

It's tough, that's all.

I honestly think this is why prostitution is not a bad employment choice for some chicks.

Young chicks, whilst they still have their looks.

I mean, picture the same young chick in that cleaning job I talked about.
Bullshit money, she'll take endless catty shit from a female employer, probably be sexually harrased by a male employer - and for what?

To work fingers to the bone for bullshit remuneration, no benefits and look old before their time.

Ate eggs with ketchup and the cheapest bread there was for about 3 weeks when I was in university.

Now I pay 200 bucks just for sushi about once a week

Prostitution........ I don't think you can compare it until you've walked in them shoes........or heels.

Financially its a fairly solid choice

One lady here owns 2 apartments plus other apartments in other country while working class here will never be able to afford to buy one

That being said would not recommend, selling your soul for money

Guess you could say i struggled in the past. Worked as prostitute @Zer the in Las Vegas catacombs.

Damn, stay in school kids. Don't want to end up poor like TS.

lol - hilarious thing is I have an elite level college degree and when I left college my start salary was 54 k per euro (EU currency, almost double US value).

Later I fell on hard times (financially).

My first 6 months after college I did a few odd jobs, but I joined the military shortly after that and it all fell into place gradually. I just retired after 33 years in the Air Force and I am set for life.
