Damn I've had some rough times.

I was browsing through craigslist service adverts section and, there's so many people that live hand to mouth existence.

Working horrible jobs for bum pay where they get treated like dog shit from their employer.

I've been there - it sucks.

Can ya'll relate?

I had to take a job that was a 30% pay cut but at least the pay would be steady and it had some benefits (not good ones). Had it for over two years and we were constantly behind the whole time. It was awful.

What do you mean by 'poor' ?

There's different levels. I've never been so poor that I thought I would starve to death.

Being 'poor' depends who you're comparing yourself to. In some places in the world people would work hard labour for a whole day under the glaring sun and earn $1 a day. And they're not the poor people (comparably).

It's all about your mentality, money is just a tool.

Struggle to survive? No, but I've seen as an observer how fast things can go to shit and you always need to be prepared for the worst case scenario. Even if you feel comfortable, if you live in America your health is a huge liability. One serious medical problem can ruin you.

No, but I lived with less nicer stuff than some of my friends. My first car was a $500 1978 Chevy Monte Carlo with bald tires. And when things would go wrong I had to save to get it fixed. But I always did, Because I always worked better paying off the books jobs....instead of minimum wage then taxes, which back then was 4.25....I made 10 an hour off the books.
When I got older and got into Corp. America, I held on to my Bar Tending jobs until I was debt free and making better dough. Cash flow is key...side hustles help.

Poor usually means living where you dont make "profits" or barely go above "recession", everything goes to expenses or more

Yep. Slept in my truck for a bit while taking odd jobs on Craigslist during the 08-10 recession. After I got my degree, things got better until I realized how screwed I was in my profession without a masters. Now it’s all peachy keen.

Right now I have to support 4 People and pay Bills with my average salary, so things are rough. I just take out loans to hide the fact that I'm bleeding money from the family. I take out new loans to repay the old ones

O and no not poor but I've been in a jam several times but I have family that helped me out several times . Right now I'm living on the edge it could go bad or go good I've had a rough 12 months I started a part time job while waiting to go back to work but I hurt my back 4 months ago and haven't been able to work my part time job but my normal job is about to start again and I plan to refinance the house to help get back on my feet

Its pretty bad right now.... i mean what the fuck is going on with working class wages?

Why do management still think 20/hour is a livable wage? It's not the fuckin 90's anymore

And it pisses me off when people say shit like "employees have all the power right now, just ask for a raise" one of my coworkers asked for a raise and guess what? Her last day is on Friday... employees dont have any fucking power right now, theyve made it so were all replaceable
