So I am thinking that was the worst main event I have ever seen. True that was some of the most blatant display of lay and pray I've seen but Neer was pathetic and did nothing to scramble, very disappointing. And yes I'm aware I'm not a fighter and it's tough...

Severn vs Shamrock 2 was waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay worse

Very very true.

Shields/Hendo was pretty bad too.

I'm pretty sure Marquardt vs. Te Huna was a battle between two guys who weren't Top 10 in their division and who were both on losing streaks. So...yeah.

not the worst ever, but it was terrible.

this is coming from a wrestlers whos favorite mma style is gnp wrestlers. i felt embarrassed for bradley being that borimg

I fell aslepp at least 15 times durong the main event
Watching it in bed was a bad idea

So? It was an awesome fast paced fight that ended with an awesome finish.

Probably the worst in recent memory when you look at it being pretty unworthy of main event status and not too exciting as a fight

It was terrible, as was the co-main. That's two events in row that have been shit.

Bellator going the way to the UFC.

Man the whole card was crap.

as for the main event. what did you expect?

FighterA is a 2x all-american who has a distinct wrestling advantage who probably cuts 20-24lbs against...

FighterB who has better stand-up and BJJ and is probably tougher to put away and to top it off is a bloated LW who probably just took a big shit to make weight. plus the fact he has notorious bad TDD.

Card as a whole was a mess so theres no fukn enrergy in the building and Fighter A and his team are thinking lets get the win and get the **** out of here.

and to top it off you got BigJohn reffing!!

coaching the guy on top "cmon, let's go" "lets see some action" just so he gives a little burst to keep position. While telling Neer he has to get off the bottom himself.

add in a bad attitude by Neer about being LnP on and he ends up losing it. mentally

Don't forget the UFC Fight Night from years back that featured Nate Marquart vs. Ivan Salaverry as the main event. Seemed like a good idea at the time, but turned into 3 rounds of dancing and jabs....

Bradley's one way to win is by boring lay and pray and Neer's takedown defence has never been good. With Neer being tough and Bradley refusing to do... anything as per usual, that fight was a recipe for disaster.

Neer complaining and McCarthy refusing to stand it up made it worse. Does anyone remember Lister-Marquardt where he kept standing the fight up almost instantly when both guys were working? Hypocrite much?

With all that said thank god it wasn't a 5 round fight.

I actually turned the channel during the main event to watch Gold rush, that's how pathetic it was.

Yeah definitely not a strong contender for a ME fight - Wish Jansen vs. Hawn was on instead.

Paul Bradley, a bone-fide boring wrestler, with no impressive wins on his resume

vs

Josh Neer - a gritty, dogged veteran who can't wrestle and has been fighting for about 30yrs.

What else did you expect?

Dreadful main event.

Terrible answer..

Hendo destroyed Jake in the first.. Jake took some of the hardest shots I have seen a guy survive from. One of the more action paced first rounds you can possibly have  After that, Jake amazingly got Hendo down and dominated every round after. I was like "holy sh*t" from the middle of the second round on.

Worst main event ever was the one that never happened since the UFC ran out of alternates and Coleman and Randleman had an exhibition wrestling match. I wanna say UFC 6.
