WORST 2020 CAREER DECISION?

2. Leon Edwards choosing not to fight this year and turning down several excellent matches that would certify his position in line for the shot. Eventually all the turn downs cornered him into this risky Khamzat fight with little upside
Edwards went from having a high ranked, washed Woodley sitting on a platter to being backed in a corner having to fight Chimaev. What a turn of events. A lot of that is the panedemic’s fault, but shit, what a turn of events.

1st PLACE:

CEJUDO
retiring for his Girlfriend was the worst in a long time.

He woulda beat D Fig tonight.

He would of beaten him, but retiring on top is something so few fighters do. I believe however he will be back once or twice for money fights.

Dana wont let Cejudo back til hes humbled.

every time hes asked about Cejudo, Dana says "he's retired"-

he never talked that way about Conor or Jones when they said they were done.

Dana hates Henry.

JDS is up there for me. Biggest mistake was taking a fight against the best prospect in the division after coming off 3 straight KO losses.

The alternative I spose would be taking more of the Shogun route, I suspect there are winnable mid level matches for him still but against the top guys he doesnt have the speed or the chin anymore.

mainly the chin, which sucks.

his chin used to be amazing.

Wonder if Henry did the last fight on his contract and isn't under contract unlike Conor and Jones

Lol you really believe that? Cejudo retired because it was the best decision after beating DJ-TJ- Cruz, while also getting and defending second belt.
That's such a perfect story for MMA fighter you can't by with any money. And no way he would be able to keep this win streak a float against every challenger in both divisions (or even just at BW)

I could be mistaken but I think he took a few fights and Covid stuff prevented them.

Tony taking the Gaethje fight is top 3 worst ever. Possibly #1. He had a ts guaranteed. He earned it big time. Now he will never get it. Smh
Meh, he would have gotten rangdolled by khabib worse than his last fight. At least this way people can say, what if...

2ND PLACE:

Ferguson taking the Gaethje fight
depends on how much he was paid, Khabib would have beaten tony the same. Cutting weight twice in 2 weeks on the oter hand wasn't smart.
