Man, i have being looking into this weight-cutting process and learning more about the process that the majority of fighters get through to make those several cuts and i`m worried about Conor, because he is probably the one who cuts more in all roster. After reading about that japanese(don`t remember his name) who DIED trying to cut weight, watching Barão passing out on the Weigh In day, a lot of guys with kidney problems i mean, those guys put their fucking lifes at risk for an size advantage. Barão always looks awful in those weigh ins, looking like a skeleton and not even his underpants fit on him on those weigh ins, it´s ridiculous i mean, is there even a guy who looks worse than Barão?? Oh yeah, Conor McGregor...Dude literally looks like one of those night walkers from GoT, like is face...It doesn`t evem look like the same person! Almost only bones, super dehydrated and looking like a crackhead with hours left...So, Dana said his next fight no matter what will be at 145, my concern is that now fighting at 170 two fights in a row, his body could not adjuste so well to that cut again, he can get in some serious health problems especially if he keeps defending the belt, on and on and on until his body shuts down one day like already happen to other fighters.

What`s your thoughts on him fighting at 145 again after jumping in to 170?

I highly doubt Conor ever fights at 145 again.

Comes with the territory of having official weight classes...

Nobody forced him to kill himself trying to cut weight to KO midgets. He chose to fight at 145 at the beginning of his career.

He should have fought at his natural weight class then jumped up in weight like the real greats do.

He was never planning on defending his belt anyways. He thought he was going to KO RDA in 1 minute and never have to cut that weight again. Nate Diaz fucked up that plan though.

He's a tool no matter what.

He cuts a lot of weight. But so do the majority of the roster

Your just pulling stats out of thin air by claiming he cuts the most on the roster, how do you know that or are you just guessing ?

Yup, in hindsight it seems like a short term plan for success. I'm sure he never intended it to be but its what it ended up being.

I honestly don't think his transition to the higher weight classes(LW or WW)will be a good one. I think he hurt his long term career by getting accustomed with fighting these little guys. I think he'll do ok at LW but will never crack top 8.

he's never missed weight, or performed badly after a weight cut...... so I dont see what the issue is? Yeah its not healthy, but to think Conor is the only person at risk is ridiculous

I don't think McGregor will ever fight at FW again. If he does, and his health is affected from cutting too much. Just so he can be bigger than his opponents. I would have zero sympathy.

He needs to vacate, and move to LW. And he doesn't deserve an automatic title shot, either. Make him earn it like everybody else has to.

I said "probably" , i didn`t say with certain but he is definitely up there, he cuts 25 pounds and tell me who looks more awful than him on Weigh In day.

Conor should really go to LW

He's only damaging his body by cutting all that weight just to have an advantage over smaller fighters

My concern is that he will cut down to 145 after not 1 but 2 fights at 170...He never did that before, will his body adjuste so well like in the past? I could be overeacting on this one because i really never understood the process of Weigh cutting and after reading that people even died on extremely weight cuts etc it`s fucked up what those guys go through to get an advantage.

Besides barao name someone else the looks like death on the scale? Conor looks like an entirely different person at FW weigh ins.

In best Irish accent "Ahhh the luck of the Irish"...

You really think he's going to be able to cut to FW when he's in his 30s?

It's going to be even harder now after he had 2 fights at his natural weight.

Barao looked great after he rehydrated too. He also never missed weight until he finally fainted and hit his head on the bathtub.

adjust to what? giving his body a break from cutting weight? constantly cutting to FW is worse for him and his health than what he is doing at present. There is no reason believe he will have any trouble cutting to FW in future because he is taking these fights at a higher weight imo

everyone cuts weight, but Conor is clearly doing it well as he always performs on fight night
