God damned Australia messing up my theory that you can't be happy in hot ass places. Maybe their happiness stems from being drunkards. Must be it. I mean many of the most miserable places on earth are booze free and hot as faaawk as well. Sounds like hell to me.
 
We're both primarily protestant in moral values and tacit social authority, republican, and free.

Why not celebrate that? Cheers to our Finnish and other Nordic friends. May your happiness grow ever higher and greater everyday.

Also, Filipinos and some Africans are incredibly happy despite the tremendous social ills that persist.

They have community, deep familial bonds, and faith/spiritualism.

The unbridled forces of modern politics (collective especially but also extreme individual), economics, and cultural mutations tend to make people less happy, and more in search of how to identify in a world that demands to know "who are you?!" A question we are ill equipped to answer this life.

I've traveled most of the world and my experience and assessment is the opposite. People are almost always happier in hot places. regardless of the quality of life.

I just don’t get sitting on my ass eating like a pig and getting drunk on a worknight every Sunday for what??? 3 months??? I once had to fire a guy because during football season he would be hungover and useless a few times a week and spend waaaaaaay too. I have time on the internet (at work) looking up shit about the New York giants.

I never got how he could be so into it.
