He has a guaranteed title shot at light heavyweight, he's never fought at heavyweight, let alone fought a top heavyweight who will outweigh him on fight night by at least 30lbs and he has 3 weeks notice. Taking the Hunt fight would be a stupid decision.

True true. Jones should only take fights he's virtually guaranteed of winning. All fighters should do that. MMA would be super awesome then.

Its the same as MW, WW, LW etc.....guys cut weight to fight in smaller weight classes. Some do it to gain an advantage and others do it cause they are in between classes. A guy like Robbie Lawler is too small for MW but a good size WW, same with Wonderboy and Hendricks. The guys at LHW are a different case because they actually are too small for HW in most cases. A guy like Jones is around 225, he is a good size LHW but matched up against the 240+ HWs he is at a disadvantage.

That's fine, I agree he's at a disadvantage at HW and would get his shit pushed in there. His size and reach are his greatest assets at LHW, and he should stay there because it's obviously working for him. I just find it hilarious when people think Jones can just go up to HW and take that title, because obviously Jones doesn't think so, or he would be doing it.
