I wouldn't want to force anyone to rewatch this match but wasn't the Till fight very similar to the 2nd Woodley fight?

Wonderboy was trying to be aggressive and forced Woodley to constantly back up, often to the cage, but neither landed very many shots.

Wonderboy basically did what Woodley did in their 2nd match, backed up, was very passive, and landed shots occasionally against his aggressor.

So why does Woodley win being passive and Wonderboy lose doing the exact same thing vs Till?

Wonderboy even did a better job of being the aggressor against Woodley then Till did against him. Woodleys corner was straight up telling him going in round 5 that he was behind on rounds and needed to finish (motivational or not they were probably right).

Tyron landed more and harder strikes. Got the only knockdown of the fight.

At no point did Thompson wreck, or come close to wrecking Till as Woodley did to him in the second fight.

I can also say now that I don't find his fights entertaining.

thats true but both fights ended in decision.

Till v WB was till being aggressive, WB being passive. aggressive guy won
Woodley v WB II was WB being aggressive, Woodley being passive. passive guy won

Only similarity was that WB got knocked down in round 5 of both fights.

Wood has the belt, and a lot of the time to get it you have to make it clear as mud you won or finish the guy in order to obtain it. 2nd fight with Wood was close, but close doesn't always get you the strap.

Both Woodley and Thompson were passive for almost that whole fight, and the only guy who was effectively aggressive (at some point in the fight) won.

I would've thought a draw should be more likely than a win for Till, but he had a couple glimpses of notable aggression when little else happens.

I'm not arguing he should've won, obviously. When little happens in a fight, both guys are at risk losing with little to show as a reason why

wasn't this the first fight?

I'm just saying that Till/WB and Woodley/WB II were both VERY similar in terms of action.

WB was 'arguably' out pointing Till being passive rounds 1-4, then got knocked down round 5. Aggressive guy (till) wins.

I think it was round 5 of the second fight but I could be wrong

Thompson won that Woodley fight imo

The Till fight? Haven't seen it, probably won't watch it.

Both fights wonderboy got rocked. And in two fights that offered nothing else that's why he lost both case closed.

Tbh who really cares? We are talking about minimal action fights here. While it is easy to say as a fan but fighting is about taking risks. When you barely take any and conserve yourself for more than 2 rds in a 5 Rd fight its only the fighter/coaches to blame for losing.

That’s coming from a Wonderboy fan.

I’d rather split hairs over a fight like Lawler v Condit.
