Thompson is basically on the same schedule as the champion since they fight next month. He's likely to get the title shot now since he's higher ranked. So was Rory and Rory has a win over Maia.

It's tough for Maia. He's beaten guys behind him in the rankings but not ahead. Trouble is most of them are booked for fights or just fought. Plus a lot of people find him boring as hell. Hendricks vs Maia might be good for Maiai to get the next shot or for Hendricks to get right back up there.
