Except Colby has never been KO'd. If what you said was true, we'd have multiple champs who used WB's style. I personally like traditional martial arts styles used in MMA but it's very hard to use against durable pressure fighters like Colby.

Colbys also never faced someone as skilled as thompson in striking...

So to say hes never been knockout tell us more about who hes faced then anything else...also Usman broke his jaw and stopped for the TKO...

It’s hard to be as effective striking as he has been in many of his fights with crap striking. It’s effective and he’s able to use it as an asset. It’s not great and he doesn’t throw for power much. But hard to say it’s crap. It’s very different style from wonderboy who can use a bit more pressure himself. Colby puts himself in the pocket far more than wb.

that said still not a bad overall take and I like wb.

Ur grasping at straws man...Colbys style of striking which is high volume low power while pressuring forward for the clinch is exactly what a counter karate/kickboxing guy would want...someone rushing forward while throwing strikes leaving countering opportunities..

Im not saying Colby cant win an MMA fight against Thompson...but if he stays on his feet hes done

What Colby lacks in technique and power he makes up for in pace and pressure. It may not be clean or pretty, but that doesn't mean it's not effective.

No shit. He landed 172 significant strikes on Robbie Lawler and the fight still went to decision. Colby is a workhorse that has a good gas tank and wrestling background. He is the equivalent of a Greg Jackson wet dream. I'm no Wonderboy fan by any stretch of the imagination, but Colby will be desperately looking for that takedown early and often. And for good reason...

Well he's right. He did say his volume, wrestling and cardio were outstanding.
I feel he respects burns and usman the most out of them all, he didn't even say a thing he would use against them.

He's definitely a fan of usman. They get along quite fine if anatomy of a fighter by will Harris is anything to go by.
