Let that statement sink in for a bit.

Rory is one of the absolute best mixed martial artist in the world, an incredible technical and physical specimen. Yet, Wonderboy just dismantled him.

Weidman really taught this guy some elite distance management. Im absolutely shocked at the ease in which he took care of Rory.

Obviously Robbie will bring it to him and will either die on his shield or take out Wonderboy, but damn. Is there anyone at 170 that can compete with him on a technical level.

Where you at George!!!

I wouldn't say "bum", but he was a step ahead of Rory all night, fo-sho.

Both Rory and Hendrick couldn't get him to the ground. I think Robbie and him will be a great fight, something along the lines of Lawler Condit but with a finish.

No. He made Johnny Hendricks look like a bum. Rory just lost.

On a side note I wish Wonderboy told us I advance that it was going to be a chess match. I would rather watch a fist fight than Chess. Now, that Steve Bosse fight was fun... Sloppy... But fun.

they'll need to stick rory in the hot tub after getting frozen like that

nah it was close, most rounds were a draw. thompson did a lil more

I think that Rory is very technically sound, but he lacks the athleticism that it's going to take to beat Wonderboy. In order to make up for the distance that Wonderboy keeps, you need to be able to shoot in extremely explosively in order to secure the takedown. There is only one fighter, past or present, who I think has a good chance of doing this, and this is Georges before the knee problems. I just don't see anyone else being able to handle the distance.

Rory had absolutely nothing for him. He was lost.....

the fight was closer than people are making out, Wonderboy done enough to win the rounds..... but he was never dominant

Weidman didnt teach him distance management, he already had that in spades
Weidman has helped vastly improve his wrestling/TDD tho

Rory looked like he had no answers for him, Thompson froze him up and Rory kept coming at him with an awkward defensive stance. It all just looked bad for Rory.

Rory will probably be the first to tell you that he looked like a bum in his approach.

Either Thompson's movement is mesmerizing or Rory was hesitant to get his nose busted again, but Rory had 0 clue on how to close the distance.

Rounds 1 and 3 were a toss up IMO. Rory took round 2 and wonder boy 4 and 5. Wasn't a beat down by any means.

that was not an easy fight

he had to fend him off for the full 25 minutes

Rory didn't give an inch

and what was with those leg/heel attacks?

He made Rory look the same way Cruz made Faber look. LOL at Salty Canadians and their damage control. They are a lot more nationalistic than you would think. I guess when they are completely incapable at even winning at their own sport this happens.

Look at his loss to brown. Good upper body movent. But distance management wasn't even close to what his previous couple of fights have been.
