Love Rory and not saying he could have won but every time he was landing a competent shot he was stunning WB, really hope WB beats Lawler but I can't see his chin holding up against him, Rory most probably to bellator next, I hope he at least makes $100k a fight cause I'm a huge fan of him. Thank you. These guys make it seem like it was a pro fighting a nobody. Fight was closer than that 50-45 score leads you to believe. I believe Rory was a big gun shy.

It was a highly technical close fight and one guy edged the other throughout. So goes MMA when you have evenly matched world class opponents - sometimes I wonder if people actually prefer squash matches?

As for Lawler - who knows, he certainly has unforgiving power but it doesn't take much to entice him to brawl. Wonderboy is not only far more technical he's got knock dead power in his heads and legs.

Robbie has to actually use fight IQ to win and I'm not sold he doesn't get trolled into a fire fight.

Agree and disagree. If anyone has to use fight IQ and not get trolled into a fire fight, it's Thompson. Fire fight with Lawler is a bad idea. He should fight Lawler like he fought Rory, but more tentative. Lawler clips him like Rory did in round 4, it's lights out.
