Wonderboy is the best striker in UFC history

To put this into perspective...

I wonder if Thompson would win a rematch vs Raymond Daniels?

that's one of the few kickboxing fights on Wonderboy's record you can actually see on wiki.
he lost that fight, but somehow he's still like 57-0 apparently?

<{cruzshake}>
Bones has looked very average in his last few fights when he can’t implement his (what used to be) incredible grappling. He has a crazy long reach and a nice varied arsenal of strikes, but his overall striking is nowhere close to GOAT level.

Sorry, I couldn't understand anything after a nice "varied arsenal of strikes" hahahahaha. Or his last couple fights hahaha. Ill remind you gently they were for the 205lbs UFC Champoinship title ie The single greatest title in MMA. WHen has Jnes been praised for his offensive grappling? Oher than defensively or EXTREMELY opportustically? Let be real man, at the MMA top strikers there are Silva AND Jones. Pedigrees outside MMA are nice but UFC as real as it gets.K1 or anything else no matters. Small potatoes. It is not applicable. Spider win streak, Jones win streak, and Mouse's win streak are ones to beat. Jon's has a great amateur HS wrestling pedigree but he has only ever used it to outstrike his opponents. Come on bro, you know this

Juiced Anderson was the best.

Second best is probly Conor.

Izzy might pass them both very soon.

For me, it's either Wonderboy or Adesanya. Both are so incredibly good that ranking one above the other comes down to subjective preference.

The result was initially ruled a KO but was surrounded by all sorts of controversy and later on changed into a NC.

To put it short, Daniels grabbed Thompson with a one-handed collar tie which, to my understanding, was illegal under the rules of WCL.

Thompson simultaniously tore his ACL, an injury that arguably would not have happened without the collar tie. During the same flurrying sequence, Raymond appeared to land a solid right hook that dropped Thompson (the angle of the camera makes it very hard to see clearly), but in retrospect, it appeared Thompson only fell down due to the torn ACL and the right hook in actuality wasn't at all solid to begin with.

This narrative is supported by the fact that Wonderboy, visibly in pain, immediately held his knee with both hands as he hit the ground.

I remember reading an article years ago that details the events, possibly on BloodyElbow.com, but can't seem to find it at the moment.

this was in Chuck Norris' league right? Daniels also caught Thompson in the opening seconds.
, it seems like thompson and daniels weren't even in contact when thompson hurt his knee

Like some other guy said, dropped by Brown, Till and Woodley and KOed by Pettis. Any other answer than Spider or Conor is delusional fanboy'ism imo.
I think Izzy is in the convo, if not then he will be soon.

Closest you'll get at HW
Not really. CroCop is overrated af. Yes he was a successful kick-boxer, but his MMA striking wasn’t great. He didn’t really beat any high level MMA strikers.

Stipe, Francis and probably even Gane are better at striking in MMA

Ye Einstein, then how did he won Pride Grand Prix and became no# 2. in the world on multiple different occasions and years?
He was clearly above everybody else in striking on MMA scene when he switched in early 2000s.
+ got screwed by circumstances for another deserved shot v Fedor in 2007.

Can Stipe or Francis do axe kick from above, or even lift their leg above shoulders?
Is Stipe's spamming of 1-2 all the time, or Francis's off balanced ventilator with closed eyes striking?

That dancing around in big circular octagon is not striking, striking is in the ring where you actually have to stand in front of the man.

I'm pretty sure the guy is a troll lol

He's great but he's defensively too sloppy. Gets pressured against the cage easily, keeps his hands low even when he has no space to move and gets dropped quite frequently. I mean he's been hurt really bad by a lot of guys, Till, Woodley, Pettis, Brown, Ellenberger.

Id say

1: McGregor
2/3: Izzy-Silva
4: Wonderboy
