As other posters here have pointed out, the media has a neoliberal/establishment Democrat bias. If they had a leftist bias, they wouldn't smear left-wing candidates like Bernie Sanders and AOC. And they would be promoting left-wing policy such as Medicare for all, the Green New Deal, and worker coops.

Putting aside the silliness of the terms and the CT about Sanders and AOC, why would you even think that they have a Democratic bias? GOP policy is more friendly to their bottom line, though worse for the economy overall, pretty much across the board. So if you're thinking about incentives (and the craziness of the party also makes people more interested in "news"), that's more likely. Culturally, mainstream media is obviously not very religious or provincial in outlook (xenophobic, racist, etc.). I think it's clear that there's a huge bothsidesist bias when it comes to politics (which means treating false claims and true claims equally if they're mainstream in a political party, which means a pro-Republican bias relative to reality--there's also a response to Republican ref-working that leads the media to actively court accusations of bias from Democrats and to fear it from Republicans, which further reinforces a Republican political bias), a small right-wing economic bias, and a left-wing cultural bias. There's also an institutionalist bias (which tends to mean they're right-leaning on foreign policy, also). You'll sometimes hear morons describe that as being "pro-war" (basically, anyone who calls anyone "pro-war" is revealing that they're either irredeemably stupid or dishonest).

Looks like he bailed on the thread. I think the decent thing for him to do is put his OP in spoilers and put a note acknowledging that it's factually inaccurate. Going even further, like apologizing and examining how he was so easily fooled, would be better.
