Wonder boy vs Rory....

Rory will grab his leg and take him down for some ground and pound. Then i can see Stephen get submitted a la conor.
 
Rory is too smart and too well rounded. Not sure why they decided to stop Thompsons run unless they plan on giving Rory another shot.

How is it not? Rory is coming off a loss to Robbie. Wonderboy should be fighting Lawler.
 
The ufc sure doesn't like true contender matches. I guess to keep options more open.

Should be? No. Had an argument to fight for a title? Yes. I personally think Woodley should get the title shot. And if WB beats Rory than he's going to get a TS. He's earning it.

It's #1 vs #2. Rory is still ahead of him in the rankings and this is the proper way to build a contender up. If Thompson beats Rory then holy shit.

Mcgregor Diaz 2 is a stupid fight, this is not. In my opinion.

Why would Woodley get the shot over Wonderboy, especially after beating the #1/2 WW in the world in Hendricks in 3 minutes?

Woodley is on a 2 fight winning streak with a split decision snoozer over Kelvin. He hasn't fought in over a year.

Of course Wonderboy deserves the title shot. He's already earned it. More so than any other fighter at WW. Are you fucking high? There is no arguement here.

Thompson dismantled #2 ranked Hendricks in 3 minutes. He's a terrible matchup for Lawler. I'm not sure how you can say he DOESNT deserve a title shot.
 
It's a good matchup but I personally don't like it. I don't want either fighter to lose right now.

The UFC does not like Woodley that much. Rory had a shot a Lawler recently. He almost smoked Robbie in the 3rd but got KOed later. The momentum is with Thompson right now. Looks like the UFC was too caught in the Connor drama and neglected to manage welterweight properly recently.
 
They should've done wonderboy vs ruthless and have Rory fight condit ... I see Rory and wonderboy winning which sets up this fight for a title and have condit vs ruthless 2 ... That's how I would do it and how I would see it playing out.
The Rory wonderboy fight now is an exciting fight but I don't see Rory losing at all and it will derail all the hype behind wonderboy which sucks cause he's an awesome guy and a great fighter

So it's Woodley's fault Hendricks didn't make weight and he never got a chance to beat him and the UFC didn't reschedule the fight?

It is Woodley's fault he's turned into a diva over the whole situation but I think you and I would be pissed to if our boss said we were getting a promotion (title shot) than took it back in favour of another co worker.

Don't get me wrong. If they announced WB vs Lawler I'd be very interested in seeing it but the WW division is so top heavy right now someone is getting screwed for a title shot. Maia, Woodley, Rory, WB, Condit and even Nick Diaz (Magny just threw his name in the mix) are in title contention. I'm sorry the fighter you want to fight the champ got passed over. I want to see Maia fight for the title.

I don't like that they made the fight either. Because Wonderboy and Waterboy are two of the most exciting guys in the sport..... wait a second I love the fight I just hate that one guy is getting an L.

No matter what angle you wanna look at it, Wonderboy clearly has earned the shot. He knocked out Johny Hendricks in 3 minutes for fucks sake. Wonderboy vs Lawler is a no brainier, absolute barn burner. Unless they are giving Condit his rematch, THEN Wonderboy vs Rory makes sense. Otherwise, Wonderboy is clearly the #1 contender.
