is scooters a big thing in other cities? I went to san diego last october and they were everywhere. A couple of the guys i was meeting up with rolled up on scooters because they had to park a few blocks away and they just dumped them on the sidewalk and I asked where they got the scooters and they said they are just left around the streets and you just pay as you use them by swiping a card I guess.

the shared scooters and bikes being dumped all over downtown areas is really trashy. they need to have designated drop areas/racks. that said, they are a great idea for urban areas and are a ton of fun.
