Crime Woman in NYC subway is set on fire by an illegal migrant and dies.

They might be in the area with the subway booth where you buy Metrocards, but on the actual platform I don't think there is.

Inside the actual subway cars, they're definitely not present. Perhaps there might be one inside the conductor's specific car inside their booths, but that's it.

Reason being, there's nothing flammable inside a NYC subway car or on a platform - it's all metal poles, concrete and plexiglass for the seats. The only thing flammable are people.

You quoted a random Twitter account titled "RemoveBragg" which is obviously wrong since they got fire extinguishers?

There are fire extinguishers in the area. Every station has to have fire extinguishers and the location will be different. Next time you're going to the subway keep your eyes open or just ask someone. The cars may be different, I don't remember.

Lived in NYC all my life and take the subway daily for work. I'm pretty damn sure I've never seen one in a car. The subway platforms themselves are usually just barebones concrete slabs with columns, signs, a few seats and a garbage bin made of metal.

Google any picture of a NYC subway platform and you'll see.

The only place where I've seen one is inside the subway clerk's enclosed booth because crazies could throw a lit match into the little receptacle where you put money in.

Tell me where in this picture is an extinguisher.

Inside an F train subway car.

I take these subway trains all the time. Never seen a fire extinguisher inside or outside. Maybe I am not paying attention to the surroundings. I feel like fire extinguishers would be fucked with by the homeless drug addicts. The city seriously needs a major overhaul with fucking everything.

You quoted a twitter account that is clearly incorrect. They got fire extinguishers. Do you think they just magically fell out of the sky or does every station have fire extinguishers? As I said, the subway cars may be different and yes, I've seen fire extinguishers at stations.

I'm not sure why you think fires can't happen. If you've lived in NYC your entire life you would be pretty aware that they can occur.

Perhaps instead of cutting taxes and regulations billionaire CEOs and their multinational conglomerates, hoping that this time for sure the wealth will trickle down... The government should invest in sweeping healthcare reform, with mental health focus as well infrastructure that would improve the conditions and overall well-being of the general population?

compare this to Joe Biden pardoning the most sick monsters.

With this person burning the woman, just do it now, why delay

Any migrant? Legal or otherwise? Whether they were justified or not?

Because nutcases who would do something like randomly setting another person on fire are of such sound mind that they will be dissuaded by the death penalty...

Nothing to address the mental health crisis in US? Nah, of course not. Shoot the problem instead.

It's obvious you don't have much experience riding NYC subways. You're just talking out of your ass and don't want to admit you're wrong.

The pic I showed is how every single F train looks. Where's the extinguisher? There is none.

I am pretty sure these big cities don’t have fire extinguishers on the platform. Assholes will just waste it for fun. They might have one in the booth but the booth isn’t close to the platform.

A little bit off topic but apparently these trains have hidden cameras now?

I thought any public transportation has to have a fire extinguisher by law on them ? buses, trains and airplanes

Every station has fire extinguishers, whether they are on the platform or not. Of course the extinguishers aren't just lying out in the open for anyone to fuck with.

They quite literally used a fire extinguisher to put her out.

There were police officers at the station, who used a fire extinguisher to stop the flames, the police said.

Subway in America have a train conductor booth in the front. That area isn’t available to the public. Depending on the location of the fire. It might be faster to step out of the train and go upstairs vs going to the front of the train. Whatever choice they took. It’s not going to be fast.

A migrant, illegal or legal, committing a crime is especially egregious considering they had the good fortune of gaining access to the USA. It should be an additive to criminal charges, like a hate crime for example.

It’s not in every carriage. It might be in the front but depending on location of the carriage. It’s easier to go outside to the booth to get it. I don’t think cops even have access to it unless they are train cops.

Oh, but we can't use the term "illegal alien." That's just a way to "other" people who enter this country illegally. Please consider this fact, before you cast judgement on illegal aliens who rape and murder U.S. citizens.
