Arike Ogunbowale is no better. I was surprised when I looked her up that she shoots well under 40%.

Lloyd holds the single-season record for most shots missed, but Ogunbowale holds the next two spots on the list (and two more in the top 25). Seems like WNBA teams need to invest in analytics, because they are massively overpaying (relatively speaking) for low efficiency volume scorers.

Speaking of salaries, the Fever have a couple of brutally bad contracts. Erica Wheeler has the 15th largest salary in the league and Katie Lou Samuelson has the 34th largest. Neither of them are in the team's lineup anymore. Wheeler got benched two games into the season, and Samuelson has been fucking atrocious and finally got yanked from the lineup when Lexie Hull started showing signs of life last month. Wheeler is averaging 11 minutes per game since the break, and Samuelson has only played 20 minutes since getting benched four games ago. At least Wheeler is off the books after this year. They're stuck with Samuelson for 2025.
