You are totally right but sometimes you make an exception and I would have for him. All of his fights were amazing back in the day. They could have also thrown him some soft balls.

I don't know how much more of a soft ball they could have thrown him than Cody McKenzie lol.

I do love me some Leonard though. There's a Mexican dude called Marco Elpidio I like at the moment who fights just like him.

You know what you are right about Cody. I totally remember him winning more than he actually did due to how much talk there was about his weird choke he got people with. Then I look back and his record was not as good as I thought.

See a lot of comments on twitter calling for Dana to sign Ditcheva. I'm resisting the urge to point out that if PFL do a million dollar 125 tournie then Dana's problem will be holding on to what he's got.
good. (insert grumpy cat face here) scheduled fights, a regular paycheck and the chance to win $1mil should simulate fighters to get better quickly - and Pacheco is a great example of that success :)

I'm just guessing from Kayla's comments and the wink wink we're doing big things next year at women's flyweight, we've seen basically the end of 155 women.
Kayla said 'she'd never do a year long tournament again, from now on it will be less fights a year vs a better opponent and more at 145.' So if Kayla not in at 145 tournament I don't see them doing it. While 125 has alot of depth they can do a tournament, Ladd and Budd could be Kayla's 2 opponents for all of next year and Larissa might have just gotten a million dollar severance package.
Brendan Loughnane was on Bisping's podcast last week where he explains what a PFL fighter goes through each season - 2-3 months between each scheduled fight means staying in training camp all year, which includes weight management - no breaks for the entirety of a season! Loughnane says it's quite grueling mentally, as fighters don't have time to unpack their last fight or even celebrate their in-season wins as they're always preparing for the next fight.

I could see how a couple of years of this rigorous schedule would wear on someone. Kayla already won twice so no harm in taking a year off to enjoy the spoils (and let some new blood shine)

Same thing fighters did in old school Bellator. God forbid fighters don’t get fat in between fights.

Giving your body chance to rest between training camps is pretty smart tbf.

Yeah. It is a lot more than just maintaining weight. The mental fatigue of always needing to focus on the next fight gets old really damn quick. Then you get sloppy, then you get hurt in training or get your ass kicked in the ring. People need to be able to peak properly, and that also means recover properly.

Lol why. Shevchenko is the tried and true one.

Santos is younger...just now entering her prime. Has more room for improvement...

Valentina turns like 35/36 nest year... She going to start declining soon... We've already seen her best years
