UFC doesn't always pay the bets. Mousasi and Rory are the only ones people miss. Especially Mousasi since he was probably one fight away from a title shot. Rory is a top 5 too and holds a win over Woodley.
Bader is a gatekeeper at best and Askren is not a big name and has not fought the best. I would love to see him tested in the UFC but that will not hapen.

I wouldn't pin this one on WME. The UFC has let top guys go because they're asking too much compared to what they draw, or they're a good gatekeeper who can't be the champ but will kill off any prospect, or they're just kinda boring for a long time. A prize fighting promotion is always going to have a find a balance between merit and entertainment value.

Gatekeeper at best? Name five guys in the UFC who are better than him. Active, so no Rumble or Jones. Even DC is leaving the division now.

Jones is gone, DC is gone from LHW, Rumble retired and appears to be heavyweight if he ever returns, Glover is too old.
Bader being the 2nd best LHW behind Gus amoung those that are active wouldn't surprise me a bit.

You shouldn't pin WME on any of this. Ari is just a yes man for Dana, who let's him do whatever he wants.

Yup lol. All the people who've ever beaten Bader got old (Tito, Glover, Machida), retired (Rumble) or Jon Jones'd (Jon Jones). He beat most of the other ranked fighters during his era and is on an impressive streak. Could still have a couple of prime years left too.
He'd outwrestle Glover now. Same with Volkan & Manuwa 9/10. He's beaten OSP before. Gus vs Bader would be the fight to make right now considering his win streak and how shit the UFC LHW division looks atm.
It's not a popular opinion, but I miss Bader.

Pretty sure the list of fighters you selected chose to not be in the UFC for other reasons than their talent. It's good to have a second organisation that can also put on decent fights so I'm glad.
