Yeah, who knew. Judge him on losing 6 yrs ago. Not the 12 fight win streak , with 11 finishes and avenging that loss. Not going anywhere.

My personal favorite fight was Volk vs Ortega, very good fight. I also enjoyed Black Beast knocking Blaydes out cold and then following up with some brutal ground and pound to an already knocked out cold Blaydes.. that was epic

Live it looked like Ponzi was completely done and the finish was inventible. He literally looked completley outclassed and then he just gutted it out andd took over.

Volk/Ortega was the best fight of 2021 IMO. Dominant defence for the champ and the first 10-8 round I have ever seen with the winner nearly getting subbed 2x in it before getting what should have been a TKO. We basically saw a 10 count in MMA and a fighter helped to the corner by his coaches. If they had correctly awarded the TKO it would have been spoken about completely differently, but we got 2 more great rounds so no major complaints.

Volk/Ortega is getting overated around here. It was good, but it was for four rounds Ortega getting picked apart. If it was somewhat closer, then yes it could be, but it wasn't even close

I can't think of a better MMA fight this year. You had 2 close subs and a TKO finish in one round alone. That's more action than some cards have.
