I lost all respect for him when I found out he was teaching Bible study classes but he had never consulted the Christian tradition and had no idea what any of it meant.


It turns out all it is just jungian psychology (something I appreciate in it's own right) projected onto biblical stories with completely different meanings.

His discussion with Bishop Barron really brought it to light. Bishop Baron masterfully corrected him over and over again without riling up his ego or being rude in any way.

Jordan Peterson is in need of a spiritual director who would tell him to shut up for at least 10 years while he works through his emotional problems and dishonest tendencies in presenting his ideas as facts when they are largely fringed ideas.

I think he's good for kids trying to improve on their lives. If everything in your life is a mess, cleaning your room does give you some control and does make it a little less of a mess.

That being said he goes talking about things he isnt an expert and it's just word salad to avoid answering questions.
"Do you believe in this?"
"what do you mean by believe? Also, what you mean by this?". Then he rambles about symbology and chase his dragons. Plus on the last few years he seems to be having some kind of martyr complex.

I dont eve know what his takes are on current politics since I heard his ramblings became really tiresome

It's 100. That guy is literally the worst. Just another heretic passing on false theology (similar to gnosticism) because he ignorantly thinks there is not a chain of literature that has been passed on reliably since Jesus and is solid enough to produce saints in each generation.


And his emotionalism and antagonism and negativity towards the left reveals all of the emotional work he has not done. But he's stuck forever in that now because he can't evolve because he's been too forceful in his opinions to ever have a reasonable path to change his mind on all of it publicly.

He should have listened to his fellow university professors when they told him he was wrong to be passing off his ideas as consensus instead of talking about the visions he had from God telling him he was the only one who understood what he understood and he had to save the world from communism.

There is just a genuine amount of disorder there.

I do admire his passion and resilience in the face of overwhelming smear campaigns. Putting yourself out there to be set on fire in hopes that some of your words can help others find meaning and purpose.
