Seriously, if ZUFFA does not cut a cheque to each and every underpaid athlete that bled to build this brand, and MMA in general,... there is a special place in hell waiting for them.

Not much, just a bit of a thank you to those retired guys out there working their 9-5 gigs with broken bodies, and maybe some brain trauma.

Amen

It will never happen.... But it breaks my heart seeing former UFC stars and champions getting brain damage because they were the ones who built the sport but weren't in thei prime at the right time to cash in.

If they just got a lion's share of 4billion it would be nice to see guys like pulver be able to live a decent life. Or even helping Gary Goodridge, who they've use highlight film of extensively, to cope with pugalistic demensia.

I'd love to see a residual payment system where fighters get paid when their fights air. (Like actors) the fighters are who we tune in to see and why we live the sport it would be nice if the guys who became billionaire off of their blood gave back to the founders...

They shuld set aside like 400 million to pay off some of the fighters both past and present. But they won't. Just Greed.

You know they won't. And words don't really mean much. Some former fighters are in a bad way right now, and it's a damn shame.

When questioned on the sale, Lorenzo Fertitta said with a straight face, athletes need to understand, we've only just barely started making a profit and our revenue sharing to the fighters is similar to that of other major sports.

It's like any other company though with minimum wage workers doing the heavy lifting while the higher ups get all the profit. What makes this transaction any different? Corporations run the world and a lucky few reap the benefits

I thought we were done with the Feel The Bern nonsense?

Yea and football should cut a check to the guys in the 1920's who got paid peanuts also. And McDonalds needs to give a check to every burger slinger who made minimum wage throughout their history.

Its different because all these shertards with crackerjack MBA's they got from ECON 101 websites really understand business and the fight business specifically.

Zuffa won't and many asshole mma fans won't

Oh my fucking God, we really do have a human that lives under a rock! You are on a damn computer and posting, so I would go so far as Google is your friend.

Yes, they have agreed to pay the EX fucking NFL players (which by the way was founded in 1960 not 1920) one MOTHER Fuging BILLION dollas!

That is a one,000,000,000 as it might be hard for a hermit to wrap the head around!

they didn't pay them while they worked for them, why would they pay them now that they're not responsible for them??

You trying to say that a $1200 check from Reebok isn't thanks enough?

I couldn't possibly laugh hard enough at the TS question...... UFC won't start now.

There's no such thing as hell. The fighters knew what they were getting into, nobody forced them to join The UFC. Without The Ufc, they wouldn't of had the platform to showcase their skills, and there wouldn't be Sherbros all sad that they had to go back to normal jobs and work like us normal folk. I don't know why you guys are all sad that these guys ain't all millionaires. Who cares? They still make better money than us and get all kinds of deadly tail.

Ok I am incorrect in this. The NFL is a association not a private business that only exist to make profit. The UFC paying former employees is akin to a business cutting all their past employees a check once they get sold. It will never happen, nor should it ever happen to a private business that only exist to generate profit for the owners.

Will Zuffa pay back the fans for watching the fights?

Only some of the players. And only after being sued by over 4500 players....
I noticed you left some info out.
