Will we ever see a HW champ make 3 defenses?

Seems to be by far the harshest division, these guys just punch so hard and those gloves are so thin. Will we ever see a champ defend his belt at least three times? I see Stipe losing to Reem, but I dont see Reem beating JDS, Cain and Werdum.

I don't think so man. The talent pool is so balanced. There is no superior fighter at the moment.

A lot of rock-scissors-paper matchups, because HW has the most variety in size and style

I'm sure we will eventually, but the current group of contenders don't seem to have a good chance of it.
Partially because the current top 5 to 10 are stronger than they get credit for.

I think Overeem beats JDS (again), Cain, and Werdum (again).

Ok the current UFC crop no HW is so much better than the contenders that you believe they don't have a shot , Cain before the Injuries may have been on the verge of being the Jon Jones, GSP, Anderson Etc for his division but it was not to be

Stipe has a great chance and somehow i still have a feeling people are underrating him...I said he was going to beat Werdum(although i thought it wont be THAT easy), and i am saying he will beat glass jaw Reem too. When i see those polls i cant believe that so many ppl actually believe Reem is going to win. Stipe is in a perfect spot in a perfect time, great fighter in his prime, where other fighters are past it. I think Stipe has a great chance at defending belt 3 times and Stipe will surpise people again.
