Will we ever see a dominant HW champ again?

Or is HW just too hard to keep a win streak going at?

As long as these people have faces to punch, I don't think so.

That is all about durability and defense. Fedor ruled the weight class because he could survive. Whether it was his magnificent timing and reflexes vs. Cro Cop or staying conscious (and alive!) after the Randleplex, the guy could avoid taking damage and keep fighting even after taking massive damage.

If a guy as durable as Fedor or Roy Nelson comes along who is as skilled as Fedor or Overeem, then sure, we could have another dominant champ. I don't think that person is out there right now, though.

Nope that's why I only watch flyweight seeing MM defend his belt over and over is the best

We will eventually.

There was a time when I gave up on the LHW division. Then Jones showed up.

Someone good will show up at HW eventually, but don't count on anyone in the current roster being the one to do it. The best of them will be able to string 2 defenses maybe, but that's tops. It will be new blood that will carry the HW division forward.

if Overeem can beat Stipe I see him beating Werdum/Cain who I imagine will eventually get shots again. JDS will be in the mix too but that's still a tough fight for the Reem.

2 title defenses would be my definition of dominant at HW lol

Heavyweight is competitive because everything landed is far more powerful than anything at, say, light heavyweight even.

Well put. Another Fedor will emerge one day: a young, hungry fighter who is both durable and extremely skilled. However, there isn't one in the current UFC lineup.

If Miocic beats Overeem then I don't see anybody beating him for a while. Maybe JDS if he can get a rematch.

Cain come close to

Won the 2 belt times
2 defenses

But yes, everyone can beat everyone there

Yes, when they make heavyweight from 206lbs-230lbs, and super heavyweight at 231lbs-265lbs.

Otherwise, it's not happening for awhile.

Overeem could if he worked on a few things....like not getting gassed and KTFO.

. Another Fedor....
