Should he? Sure, why not? It would be fuck up if Dana doesn't give it to TJ

He won't and that's what's so fucked up about immediate rematches.

He should be, but knowing UFC they probably won't. He was outspoken about how he had to work back to a title shot, and rightfully so, so hopefully they learn from that and give him his fair due. Probably won't happen but

Cody will get DJ, that was the fight they wanted to make from the beginning before Cody fucked his back and then TJ swooped in.

i can already picture Dana be like, "nope!" meanwhile Cody got owned bad, but got an immediate rematch. Perhaps Dana thought TJ's win was a fluke?

TJ won't be getting any more special treatment from the UFC after he decided to say fuck you to the UFC and refuse fight Cody on short notice the first time.

^ this exactly. The first winner of a potential rubber match is always at a disadvantage because promoters are extremely unlikely to book the same fight in a row.

It's why immediate rematches should almost never be a thing

Maybe. Both fighters would have to be healthy
It would depend on how he lost too. If it was a 5 round 50-45, I don’t think so

Plus, if DJ wins, it sets up a big money fight

The only fights that would leapfrog TJ are Cody vs MM or Cody vs Marlon

But UFC can make Marlon fight Cruz or Lineker first

TJ has a good chance to get a rematch if he loses

Cody has said when he wins he'll give him an instant rematch

It's one of the reasons I'm rooting for TJ tbh

He will. They can definitely sell a third fight between these two. Moraes should be next but they could find someone else for him.
