Will the UFC have Miocic avoid Overeem at all costs?

It seems they had a big hand in having Miocic avoid Rothwell. Now they are doing some stupid online poll about who should fight Stipe next when Stipe himself wasn't the most deserving of his title shot. They should have did the poll when Arlovski,Rothwell,Overeem and JDS were all more deserving of the title shot than Stipe.

It all seems like some sneaky ploy in order to have Stipe avoid Overeem as they know that more than likely Overeem will be the new champ if he gets the title shot.

I think they will give the title shot to Browne,Cain,Arlovski,Bigfoot,JDS,Rothwell or even Nelson.

We will never get to see Overeem fight Stipe. The UFC will fail to deliver the correct fight once again and will not make that fight.

lol @ this poll. If the UFC wants to make Miocic-Overeem, they will. If they don't want Miocic to fight Overeem, then he won't. The UFC will make and take title shots as it pleases.
 
The ufc wants reem as champ.

Stipe is a good stand up individual that unfortunately has zero traction with the casual fans. Reem is the fucking posterbiy for hw champ.

I bet Overeem doesn't get the title shot. Dana announced that Stipe would get the title shot right after Stipe beat Arlovski.

Overeem gets crickets after having beat JDS,Nelson and Arlovski but instead they conduct a online poll. LOL!!!
 
It's a poll on a website, I think you're overestimating how much weight it actually carries. Also, why would they protect Stipe? Reem would make a great champion.

The polls are common and its meant to be online content for hits/views.

The UFC booked Overeem with Arlovski even though he was coming off a first round KO loss. It was a gimmie fight to keep Overeem in the standings.

I think its pretty clear they want Overeem in a title fight.

I don't think they do at all. They don't want Rothwell as champ either.
 
In fact I think the UFC believes Stipe will be champion for a bit and that's why they did the poll. Doesn't really matter who's next, his biggest threat is JDS and he ain't gettin it.
 
Overeem's pretty popular as far as I can tell. Why wouldn't they want him as champ? Because he has a lot of losses or something?

Overeem would likely be the new champ? Only if he cracks Stipes chin before Stipe cracks his which is HIGHLY unlikely.

Stipe had was able to fight on short notice with no fight booked. He beat Werdum easily so he deserved it (he was in his BIG backyard). If he fights Overeem which I think he should next then all comes in circle considering Overeem beat the fighters that he lost to (MMA math). This division is the least you should be worried about.

Hey Overeem is fighting save now (which has resulting him in not looking good until the KO.) Can't deny Overeem.

Can't deny he deserves the title shot for sure, you can't just dismiss Stipe though considering Overeems suspect chin.
 
Not sure WHY they would.

Overeem is dangerous for anyone, sure, but Stipe has the tools to beat him. Very nice hands and solid wresting.

Miocic is quite accurate with his shot placement, and Reem has certainly been chin-checked before.
 
I don't know man...he's won 4 in a row...against some good guys...I think he gets the shot next. No way they give Werdum an immediate rematch...I don't think anyways...
