Will not putting Conor in UFC 200 be the worst financial decision UFC has ever made?

No, they should have Jones/DC on 200.

Then Conor/Nate in Aug or Sept

Then the NY card in Nov.

This creates 3 huge cards, instead of 2. I suspect this scenario is what they actually want.

Putting him on UFC 200 was a bad decision to begin with.

If UFC 200 was originally going to do around 1.5 million buys, I think if they put Conor back on, it would hit 2-2.5 million. Funny how they took a fight no one wanted to see again and now everyone wants to see it just for the fallout.

Also ironically, I think if they do put Conor back on the card, they should completely keep him off the press tours. You have to buy the PPV to see him and see what he does.

I think UFC going after ppl that promote their own brand for free with highlights and fights is pretty dumb.

By far. Conor has all of sport's media on pins and needles, waiting for clarification about his status on the card. It would be a complete waste to not have him on the 200 card after all of this.

Not putting Conor on 200 is the best decision. Conor needs time away from the limelight, and might crack like Jones (or worse) if subject to the media pressure while he's still broken. So the UFC misses one Conor payday in the short term, but in the long term it will pay off if Conor gets his head together and keeps fighting.

The fact you'd even ask the question shows you know zero about running a successful business.

Yup those billionaire bros are really going to miss a few million dollars ???

That's like me... in any given year I probably give panhandlers about $100 in total ( What can I say. I feel for my fellow man ). Do you think at the end of the year I miss that $100 ? Fuck no, I don't even think about it.

That is essentially what we are talking about here. Zuffa will miss those paltry millions as much as I miss the $100. Sure it's money they could have had. But they wouldn't notice having that money any more than they'd notice not having it.

This is about who calls the shots. Even the lowest rung on the intelligence ladder should be able to understand the dynamics here.

Money... The Bros could wipe their asses with $10, 000 bills. They'd never shit enough in a lifetime to even make a dent in their bank account.

Nope not at all. it will do much better without him. I'll be buying it now.. I just hope they put the best fighter in the world on it Jon Jones. Jones vs Cormier 2

As much as I hate the idea and I didn't want to see Conor at 200 for a non-title fight bullshit rematch main event....you are right.

Of course it is, anybody saying it isn't is borderline delusional...

Short term the UFC would take a hit, long term it is a great move to take the stand against Conor, otherwise this shit will happen all the time.

Ariel Helwani was interviewing two commentator retards yesterday (Luke Thomas and some other guy) who were talking about how much "leverage" Conor has, and how this will do so much damage to the UFC. I was laughing my ass off. These guys really have no clue.
