I dont buy into armchair psychology and looking at the acute tells and body language however when it results in one fighter walking out of an interview after a build up of being made to look stupid as Nate did on CNBC its quite obvious hes totally pissed off with this whole experience.
Im not sure he was quite prepared for the verbal assault that would come his way and Im in no way suggesting he is scarred rather he is significantly emotionally invested.
Walking of the set was one sign of quitting under pressure - I wonder how he will do in the fight?
Im not suggesting he will quit or look for a way out (he could but I dont think its his style) rather would it be possible that he decides to quit on his terms?
Lets say he goes in and out points Mcgregor for 2 rounds (like Mendes did) but then at the end of the round he is gassed as fuck - would it be beyond him to have Nick pull him out with an 'injury' just to put two fingers up to the UFC as having lost the battle but won the war - lost the contest technically but quit while he was ahead thus setting up a guaranteed rematch of a fight he was winning where he gets a full training camp?
I really dont know how he will behave and it is this unpredicatbility that I think makes him dangerous that he may do something stupid on fight night as out of all McGregors opponents I think he is handling the trash talk the worst of all of them, he really really doesnt like to be disrespected and looks on the verge of losing his shit altogether
I really think he wants to put two fingers up to the UFC and McGregor for their perceived disrespect and beating McGregor while he is still fresh and quitting before he totally gasses would be one way to do it
