Will Khamzat try to take Usman down instantly?

Will he do what he did against Holland? It's a great strategy against strikers since you will most likely either get the takedown or make your opponent defend which is obviously exhausting.

But... Kamaru Usman is not Kevin Holland. And he has also shown a great gas tank.
IDK if i have a point here , just wondering what you think Chimaev will try and do.

(P.S. Im not sold on Khamzats gas tank either) I think he tires within 2 rounds because of how he fights.

Striking with Usman for a long time is a dangerous game for Khamzat tbh. We know the composure and power Usman has.

If he's smart he will. Test out Usman's TDD. It's not like he's in much danger of getting subbed from a failed shot. If it doesn't work, he can test the striking, but if it does, he potentially has himself an easy finish.

Usmans power is greatly over rated and it is 100% the threat of a takedown that gives him any room to strike... I think KC should be able to just win the fight standing .

Yep. He'll shoot low and fast, attacking the knees and completing a nasty takedown. Side position, nasty shots, take full back control, nasty shots, screech ALLAHAKBARILILLYOUFREEPALESTINE a few times. Usman will turn in and land a shot, which will silent the audience, Khamzat will laugh like a maniac, retake the dominant position, take the back, take the neck and tap him out.

No, shooting takedowns without setting up a striking threat is an easy way to get gassed out by the king of sprawl

Frankly that's one of the most realistic scenarios for Usman to win, is Khamzat flying in with an instant TD attempt, getting sprawled on, continuing to push the issue, gassing out, and getting beat down from that point forward

He should. Khazmat has a decent jab but he's pretty sloppy overall on the feet.

I think Khamzat is going to try to knock him out. But if he gets in trouble there, he'll go for the take down if he sees the opportunity.

I hope so, I'd like to see him gas as quickly as possible and grappling is a great way to do that. Hasn't fought in a very long time and will be jittery, possibly adrenaline dump. Kamaru has to survive the onslaught if he does, but I'd love to see that game plan.
