Yes - deserving depends on how dominant the victory is.

If he wastes Costa inside 1 round then theres no denying he's a good contender for next after DDP.

Costa might get a major bump, and perhaps be 1 good fight away if he trashes Khamzat.
If Khazmat owns Costa, he just might a shot, who knows, but at the very least the same as Costa.

Without his wrestling, due to the sub threat, Khamzat loses his biggest tools. And he is nowhere as experienced as Burns.

But most fighters do not present a sub threat.
