Will Jon Jones pull a Johnny Manziel and sideline his career with out of cage antics?

Granted, Bones has accomplished far more in his respective sport than Johnny has. However, both of them have out of sport antics that have gotten them in trouble and they seem to be similar issues stemming from arrogance and drug use. Johnny obviously has an alcohol problem and is entitled. Manziel was recently released by the Cleveland Browns.

Bones has gotten into trouble with cocaine and has had driving infractions including a DWI and hit-and-run with serious injury. He recently got cited 5 times for traffic violations (not uncommon for traffic cops to cite anyone with 5 tickets - it's just their mentality) and turned himself in for probation violation. Bones needs to be careful because if the judge revokes his probation he will be back in jail and obviously not fighting anytime soon.

I'm not a huge fan of Bones but I enjoy watching him fight and hope he can get his life together, because if he doesn't it will be one of the biggest throwaway careers of all time.

Jones definitely has issues.

Great fighter, but a trainwreck of a human being.

Hopefully he can stay out of trouble at least long enough to give the fans a few more good fights.

Well when Jones was coming up I didn't see this coming until his first issue with the DWI. Manziel I saw coming after his last season at Texas A&M. I'm hoping Jones is more of an LT at this point, will always have his troubles but as long as the talent is there we wanna see him play, and he is the best.

One more legal issue could be career ending.

I personally would have cut him after the hit and run.

Jones achieved a title in his career.
Manziel is also not a talented player.

I think Jon is more like... OJ Simpson or Lawrence Taylor

He has proven the impressive ability to never learn from his mistakes.

He's gonna keep making them

Why? Does his contract state he gets paid no matter what? If not, then it doesn't cost them anything to keep him, just the risk that he could fuck up a ppv and millions of dollars. lol. But they can always throw a replacement in.

Manziel is a scrub. His career was getting sidelined regardless.

JBJ is the best fighter on the planet.

You wanna talk about someone who has gotten away with being immature his whole life? Manziel is on a whole other level. How he's still in the NFL I have not a clue. Jon is close, but he isn't at Johnny Football's level quite yet.

The JBJ meltdown of all meltdowns is coming.

Good god I fucking hope not... All that talent...

Thing is he's flying very close to the sun now. Judge said if he comes back there'll be big problems...

I think he'll get this figured out. If what he says is true and he is sober now for 6 months that in itself is huge and a platform to build from. Most people don't change overnight but Jon basically has no choice because of his legal issues.

Very possible. He seems to be headed for a crash and not just inside of a vehicle. Stuff is going on there with him and he seems be in denial.

Hasn't he already sidelined his career? Isn't that a forgone conclusion?

At this point all he can do is get serious jail time to further screw things up for himself.

guys i love jones but this is it. the beast is getting inside that octagon.. jones has been out for a while... his mind seems weaker with all this law shit. We know anthony dosent need full camps that dude always goes he snaps and kos you stiff

I wouldn't want a guy that hit and ran a pregnant woman on my roster, but that's just me. Plenty of people disagree.

I mean, they tossed Thiago Silva on his ass for domestic violence allegations, what Jones did was just as bad imo.

Johnny isn't in the nfl anymore and probably won't ever be. All indications are that teams arentbeven taking calls from his agent anymore. He's not worth the headaches.
